The largest gathering for the monthly lunch group, thirty-one in total including one small guest and although the genial host told us of the problem with his catering staff being absent the food was excellent - I certainly ate too much as it was a shame to leave it.

The Sir John Barleycorn at Cadnam, sits immediately below the M27 motorway, but is one of the area's oldest pubs dating back to the 12th century. Low beamed ceilings give a cosy atmosphere, and Cadnam is a major gateway to many areas of the New Forest.
