March Lunch

A rather nice venue for today's lunch with plenty of good food reasonably priced at Dibden Golf Course. The restaurant is on high grounds with the green golf course sloping down to the distant views of the Solent.

Brockenhurst College lunch

Another excellent meal in Brockenhurst College restaurant. Organised by Jack with all the trimmings, served by young students while supervised by a vigilant maître d'hôtel. Almost a full house apart from two very late cancellations. We then invited Stella from the newly formed Totton South U3A to join us to help cement friendship between the U3A's.

If you could please arrive between 12 and 12.30 it will be easier to park,
as some students go out to lunch at these times .
On arrival at the Restaurant I will give you your Menu card, which the college would
like you to display in front of you on the table,to help the student waiters.

Christmas Lunch

A nice mild day for our lunch. We were greeted by a hatless Father Christmas who guided us into the limited car parking space. Fortynine of us enjoyed a very good three course meal and most of us left after 3pm feeling that we could not eat any more.

November's lunch at the Empress of Blandings

Sunshine brought out 25 hungry diners to the Empress of Blandings and I believe everybody was happy with the service and the meals

October at the Chilworth Arms

Rather nice venue and although slow to start with, the food made up for the slow service. It, in my case was excellent and I ate far too much of the giant ‘Hawaiian’ Ham + Roasted Pineapple + Mushrooms for £8.50. The large light rooms were enhanced by a large lit open fire.

Lunch at the Imperial China

Have to admit, having never eaten at a Chinese restaurant I was pleasantly gratified that their food is good and well presented. There were thirty-one of us seemingly almost the only diners in what was a well ventilated clean place to eat. The inside reminded me of the tardis far better and larger than the outside appearance,
I certainly enjoyed the experience.
